Formed in the working-class community of Hersham in 1975 by singer Jimmy Pursey, Sham 69 was the voice of the people in the first wave of British Punk. Proletarian and proud of it. This special set contains all the Sham 69 s four original album, the music that Sham 69 left behind for the world before their split in 1980. Great singles like Borstal Breakout and Question And Answers will always testify to Sham 69 s status as a musical force, but their albums were equally magnificent. That s Life has begun to be recognized as a landmark, taking British Punk to somewhere it had never been. The Adventures Of Hersham Boys was a Top 10 set that was both assured and infectious. On album, Sham 69 were as terrific as they were on single - as this box more than fully demonstrates.
