One of the best British folk-rock bands of the 1960s, Fairport Convention are probably best known for their impressive repertoire of traditional British folk songs. Farewell, Farewell was recorded live during what was to be the band s last tour in the summer of 1979. The album was re-mastered for the band s 30th anniversary in 1997 (and re-released under the title Encore, Encore). It includes the 11 original tracks plus 4 bonus tracks (including the single “Rubber Band”).
