All recorded before he signed with Capitol in 1957, this collection consists of songs that were mostly released as singles on small labels such as Pep, Chesterfield, and La Brea. Although the production is not as slick and the arrangements not as electric guitar heavy as his later Capitol sides, this compilation of self-penned tunes shows the young Buck as a very talented songwriter and upcoming country star.
